HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Energy Conference Network (ECN) today announced two new inaugural conferences addressing the infrastructure, capital, and technology decisions shaping Africa's energy and digital sectors: the CEMAC Data Center, Energy & AI Infrastructure Summit in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, and Digitalisation and AI in Energy West Africa in Lagos, Nigeria.

CEMAC Data Center, Energy & AI Infrastructure Summit (Inaugural Edition)
October 20-22, 2026 | Brazzaville, Republic of Congo

Hosted in Brazzaville following the commissioning of Central Africa's first sovereign National Data Centre, the CEMAC Data Center, Energy & AI Infrastructure Summit brings together government ministries, regulators, telecom operators, cloud and data center developers, financial institutions, and energy companies building the region's digital backbone. The inaugural edition will address sovereign data infrastructure, AI-ready compute and cloud, regional fiber connectivity, cybersecurity and digital trust, sustainable power for data centers, and the financing and regulatory frameworks needed to unlock bankable infrastructure projects across the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa.

Digitalisation and AI in Energy West Africa (Inaugural Edition)
November 18, 2026 | Lagos, Nigeria

Digitalisation and AI in Energy West Africa convenes national oil companies, international operators, gas and midstream businesses, refiners, technology vendors, and government regulators for a one-day program focused on moving artificial intelligence and digital tools from pilot to production. Sessions will cover where technology investment is landing across deepwater, gas, and refining projects, operational deployments in production optimization and asset integrity, and the procurement and local content requirements operators face under Nigeria's NOGICD Act. The conference follows a wave of upstream investment in Nigeria, including recent fiscal approvals for major deepwater projects and expanding national commitments to AI and digitalization across the energy value chain.

Executive Commentary
"Both of these events are about the same shift happening in two different markets," said Symon Rubens, CEO of Energy Conference Network. "Central Africa is standing up the infrastructure to keep its data and its AI capacity at home, and Nigeria's operators are trying to get their AI pilots out of the test phase and into daily operations. In both cases, the capital and the political will are there. What's missing is the room where the people building it can compare notes with the people financing and regulating it, and that's what we're building in Brazzaville and Lagos."
